Action in the Community Environment in Africa- Kenya (Ace Africa Kenya) is a registered NGO in Kenya and is currently working in Bungoma, Busia, Kisumu, Kakamega, Migori, Homabay, Siaya, Vihiga Counties and Mombasa County through partnership with Haller Foundation. Ace Africa Kenya has a board of directors with diverse professional backgrounds and meet three times a year to provide overall organisations oversight functions.

Ace Africa K programmes targets vulnerable and marginalized communities in areas where there is high level of poverty, food insecurity and HIV and AIDS orphans and vulnerable children. Projects are implemented under the following programmes
Child Development programme: The Goal of the programme is to improve the health of children and protect their rights. The programme achieves these through i) Increased children’s access to health information and quality services including psychosocial services, ii) establishing and strengthening integrated child protection systems and iii) Increased children’s access to education through support with school uniforms, provision of sanitary towels and menstural hygiene education, textbooks, improving access to safe water and child friendly toilet facilities, improve lighting in schools through solar lighting system, improve nutrition, increased access to school bursaries and life skills. Our key partners include CRS/MWENDO, OAK Foundation, Egmont Trust, Peter Cundhill Trust and APA Insurance Co.
Community Health Programme: The Goal of the programme is to improve community health seeking practices and increased access to quality health care. Ace Africa K achieves this through increasing disease prevention knowledge and access to improved quality health services. The health programme focuses on Malaria, HIV and AIDs with populations such men having sex with men (MSM), Female sex workers, adolescent girls and young women, Tuberculosis, Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), Jigger education, treatment and control and Maternal Health. Our key partners include Jochnick Foundation, USAID Afya Ziwani, Kathryn McQuade and FHI 360
Community Livelihoods Development: The Goal of the programme is to improve food security, reduce poverty and protect the environment. Ace Africa focuses on Agriculture by supporting communities to grow nutritious food crops using organic and other sustainable climate smart farming methods, keeping livestock and managing fisheries. In business, Ace Africa provides entreprenual skills education and training, establishes producer group cooperatives, increasing access to financial and insurance services, and creates links with markets. In Environment, Ace Africa focuses on environmental education, promote tree planting and other measures to conserve the environment and promote use of renewable energy. Our key partners include GIZ/GOPA, USDAF, The Dulverton Trust and Egmont Trust
Research: The goal of the programme is to use evidence from research to improve strategy and programme delivery. Research is embedded under each programme area as well as undertaking long term peer reviewed researches on key strategic areas with academic and other ethical bodies in Kenya and beyond. Our key partners include National institute of Health USA through Duke University, department of public policy and Health, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), Min of Health, Ministry of interior and coordination of national government, National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) and Ministry of education, science and technology.
